Lake Temperature January is well above average. Ice fish hopes are nil. Fishing boats out almost every day. 32° in Feb. but too windy to freeze over.	Jan. 6, 2007; Balmy, windy; Basin Harbor across. Record Temps Set. Low 48°, record high mininum beats 1909.  Jan. 6, noon 62°, beats record hi of 56° in 1890!	Canada goose who seems to have stayed for winter, swims with lonely merganser duck following it around. Feb. 5, '07
First real snow of season. Wild turkey along road. 16 Januray 2007 Coldest night of season, below 0, but still no hope of much lake ice.	5 Feb 2007 Continued 0° evenings. Some ice in bay. Mergansers flock in open water; still haven't migrated.	5 Feb. Wind too strong to form much ice. Canada goose and merganser browse along dock.
Feb. 14, '07 Valentine Day Surprise Blizzard. 24 hr snow breaks 1934 record. 30+ in. 35+ mph. 5°; I-87 Northway and many local roads closed. Marina and ShipStore.com closed for two days. Carroll family pets face the weather.
Larry: Door tender "Zodiac" plays polar bear.	Bob: "Lordy" reigns; Basin Harbor obscured.	Jim: Lake view from marina hill.
Larry: Evening drifts. Polar "Zodiac" still there.	Bob: Next day snow drifts on door. Basin Harbor visible across the Lake.	Lake level 98.3'. March 29, 2007. Ice melting. Lake up 18" in 7 days. Above normal but no prediction for spring levels.
