Champlain Bridge -- New York to Vermont is rebuilt and open, Nov. 6, 2011

Original 1929 bridge was demolished in 2009. Free Ferry operated while new bridge built.
New bridge opened Nov. 6; Free ferry closed.

Vermont to Westport access is now Champain Bridge or
Essex, NY to Charlotte, VT Ferry
Normally leaves NY on 1/2 hour; 6:30 am to 8:30 pm. VT on the hour, 6 - 8

Lake Champlain bride remnants from demolition
Detonated 28 Dec 2009, leaving piers and rubble.
Remaining piers demolished April 9, 2010

New Champlain Bridge opened Nov. 6, 2011
Pedestrian and bike paths also open
