The "original" Philomena D
Built in 1948 as a Cheaspeake fishing boat, and
converted for tour service
at Wesport Marina, the 50 foot Philomena D was
active in Westport from 1997 through 2002.
Both "Phils" were named for Philomena
Dominique D'Ostiguy Daniels
1835 - 1912
The World's first licensed woman steam boat captain
and pilot,
who operated a boat from our docks in
Wesport.
